About

I’m Lana, and I created The Next 30 Years because I wanted to take a more active role in my health and in the way I age.

I’m not a doctor, dietitian or fitness professional. I’m a woman in my sixties who has become very interested in understanding my own health better — asking questions, looking at the data, trying different things and learning what works for me.

This site is where I share that journey, along with the things I’m learning about strength, nutrition, fitness, healthy ageing and building a life I want to keep enjoying for many years to come.

I don’t want getting older to mean making my world smaller.

I want to stay strong, independent, curious and involved in the lives of the people I love. I want to travel, learn new things, keep challenging myself and keep doing as much as I can for as long as I can.

That is what The Next 30 Years is really about.

I’m not affiliated with the programs, services or products I talk about unless I clearly say otherwise.

I use them because they work for me, and I share them as part of my own experience.

If that ever changes — for example, if something is gifted, sponsored or uses an affiliate link — I’ll make that clear.

I’m sharing my own experience and what I’m learning along the way. Nothing on this site is intended to replace medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

What works for me may not be right for you, so please speak with your own doctor or qualified health professional before making changes to your health, medications, diet or exercise.
